who am i?

Greg Prosser, trumpetI’m happy to call Northern BC my home since 1992. Came here by way of Toronto, and began my life in Moncton, NB (still home to me).

Father to two wonderful boys, Keegan & Zakary. Soon to be separated and sharing joint custody.

Most of my days are spent meeting with clients, playing with the kids and either making beer, shooting black & white film (developing too), making beer (or making room for more beer), fly fishing, and playing the trumpet (primarily jazz and big band)! I do a lot of markup (xhtml & css), some programming (PHP & MySQL), and the odd bit of design work (not that odd really).

My previous incarnation as a trumpet player had come to a close in 2001. Realized I’d hit my mark, no longer enjoying the gig of Principal Trumpet in a small, semi-professional local orchestra where you were in a constant battle to justify your existence and a right to a pay cheque. A little tired of middle of the night calls from neurotic parents of music students wondering if either they or myself had screwed up their kid’s chances at fame and fortune. Picked up the horn again in 2006 for kicks (and a little therapy too).

I own and run sticky wicket designs.

I’m rather prone to reading Sci-Fi Fantasy novels, fly-fishing, camping, canoeing and spending some rare, but greatly valued, time with a few folks that I’m privileged to call my friends.
