With encroachments within the living space, it’s difficult to predict exactly when I may return to playing with chemicals in the dark room. Fortunately, it’s still possible to get black and white film developed here.

At first blush there’s quite a variety of subject matter on the rolls - kinda like Christmas.

This last little break in activity just happened - there was nothing new to post in terms of images and my current activities in terms of personal growth have been far more important for my mental health (I know, bit of an oxymoron there).

Mt. Robson, the second oldest park within the BC park system, is rumored to be challenging to get a clear enough day where you can see Mt Robson’s summit from the main parking lot. True enough, it is often shrouded in the clouds, however, I think I’ve been fortunate to be able to see the peak on several occasions. This was one such occasion in August of this year.

Tech Notes

For those of you within the web industry, hosting and development in particular, there’s an interesting post overviewing what the underlying technology is behind some of the monstrously popular sites. Check out What nine of the world’s largest websites are running on post on the Pingdom blog. This will prove particularly useful in debunking the gits at some of our ISPs (Shaw, Telus) as they try to inform the uninformed and informed alike that they are running the most conventional and reliable hosting configurations available. Nothing but snake oil salesmen I tell ya!

While I’m at it, check out this hosting company (wish I had thought of it first!)

I really enjoy shots that create a bit of an illusion. The water was so calm on the morning I took this shot, and the mist was still lifting off the lake, hence you can only pick out a little bit of clouds reflected in the water.

Taken with Mamiya 210mm lens.

One of the things I love most about photographing classic automobiles is the abundance of chrome. Black & white photography is perfect for shooting chrome.

This concludes the series of shots from the 2007 Prince George Show ‘N Shine. Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did!
