Wintertime at Livingstone Springs

Livingstone Springs in winter #1

I think this was taken during the winter of 2005/2006, but I may be off by a year. It was quite the haul getting to this spot on snowshoes, but it was so worth loosing half of my weight in sweat!

Livingstone Spring is the site of an old trapper’s cabin (yes, it’s still standing). There are two ways to access this spot - one by land (through Bear Lake campground) and the other via canoe or some other water faring vessel (non-motorized) from the 200 bridge that crosses over the Crooked River. Come to think of it, the campground might be called the Crooked River campground. I’m feeling okay in being foggy on the ‘correctness’ of this post.

Ah, good times. I still can’t believe how many photos we took that day.
